Qassim University Achieves 39th Place in Global Sustainable University Rankings

Qassim:Qassim University has achieved a significant milestone by ranking 39th globally in the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings 2026. This advancement of 22 places out of more than 2,000 institutions marks the fourth consecutive year the university has maintained its leadership nationally and remains the only Saudi university in the global top 100. According to Saudi Press Agency, this accomplishment underscores Qassim University's expanding initiatives across various environmental, academic, and operational domains. The university has been reinforcing resource efficiency and sustainable development while enhancing its international academic presence. The 2026 UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings utilized 60 indicators across seven core criteria, including Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, Education, and Governance and Digitalization, to evaluate the participating institutions.
