Buraidah:Qassim Health Cluster has implemented a new treatment service for pneumothorax using Thopaz technology at King Fahd Specialist Hospital. This technology utilizes an advanced digital system for chest drainage and continuous monitoring, aimed at improving accuracy and enhancing the efficiency of specialized treatment services for patients.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Thopaz technology allows for the drainage of air and fluid surrounding the lungs through an intelligent digital suction system. This system provides real-time monitoring and accurate readings of air leakage levels and pressure, along with smart alerts and audible and visual notifications.
The Qassim Health Cluster mentioned that these features support treatment decisions based on the patient's clinical indicators. The introduction of this technology is part of the cluster's ongoing efforts to develop specialized services and adopt modern medical technologies, thus enhancing the quality of healthcare and ensuring patient safety.
