Qassim Date Production Exceeds Half Million Tons; Eight Seasonal Destinations Boost Economic Activity

Qassim: Qassim Region has recorded date production of 584,127.80 tons, with around 10.87 million palm trees across 13,403 agricultural holdings, according to the National Center for Palms and Dates (NCPD). The figures underscore the scale and diversity of agricultural activity and Qassim's prominent role in date production and marketing across the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, date seasons are continuing across the region through eight seasonal destinations that combine production, marketing, and economic activities, showcasing the variety of Qassim dates and their presence across the region's governorates. These seasonal events are held under the umbrella of the Seasonal Markets platform launched by the NCPD in cooperation with the Qassim branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

The platform helps regulate and govern date sales and purchases, supports farmers and producers, expands marketing opportunities, and boosts economic activity in the palm and date sector. The seasonal date events reflect coordinated efforts among relevant authorities to support the agricultural sector and strengthen agricultural marketing, while reinforcing Qassim's position as one of Saudi Arabia's leading regions for date production and marketing.
