Riyadh: The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission yesterday launched the second edition of its printing support initiative as part of its efforts to develop the publishing and printing market in the Kingdom and enhance the cultural sector's contribution to the national economy.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aims to empower Saudi printing houses and publishers, support their growth and competitiveness, and reduce printing costs within the Kingdom. It also seeks to encourage publishing houses to utilize local printing services, contributing to the development of a sustainable and competitive publishing and printing ecosystem.
The commission stated that discounted printing services under the initiative are available to Saudi publishing houses, publishing agents, and literary agencies, provided they hold the required licenses. These include a valid commercial registration and a book publishing license for publishing houses, or a valid literary agent license for agents and literary agencies.
