Public Security: Up to SAR20,000 Fine for Performing or Attempting Hajj Without Permit

Makkah: The General Directorate of Public Security stressed that a fine of up to SAR20,000 will be imposed on anyone found performing or attempting to perform Hajj without a permit, including holders of all types of visit visas who try to enter or remain in Makkah and the holy sites within the designated geographical area, effective from Dhu Al-Qidah 1 until Dhu Al-Hijjah 14, 1447 AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the directorate explained that the designated geographical area includes Makkah and its official and unofficial entry points, the central area, the holy sites, the Haramain High-Speed Railway station in Al-Rusayfah, security checkpoints, screening centers, and temporary checkpoints.

It also noted that residents and violators attempting to infiltrate Hajj will be deported to their home countries and banned from entering the Kingdom for 10 years.

The directorate urged everyone to comply with Hajj regulations and instructions and to report violators by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom.
