Riyadh: A professional volunteering initiative was launched as part of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition. A joint effort between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, the initiative aims to harness professional expertise to support the growth of organizations and entrepreneurs within the ecosystem serving pilgrims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative seeks to enhance specialists’ engagement in professional volunteering and to contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s national volunteering objectives. The focus is on several specialized areas relevant to serving pilgrims, including enriching the pilgrim experience through non-profit organizations; developing strategies and business models; ensuring financial sustainability and identifying investment opportunities; strengthening institutional and human capabilities; leveraging digital transformation and AI applications; and advancing national performance indicators and targets for the non-profit sector.
