Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden Enhances Services with New Medical Equipment

Aden: Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden has upgraded its medical services by introducing advanced imaging and laboratory equipment to enhance patient care. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Yemeni Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the hospital’s new equipment includes a cutting-edge CT scanner that utilizes artificial intelligence to improve diagnostic accuracy, particularly for high-resolution imaging of the heart and blood vessels. Additionally, an integrated laboratory system has been implemented to boost testing capacity and speed up the delivery of results to patients.

Since the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) took over its operation, the hospital has achieved significant milestones by conducting over 19,000 surgeries. This includes more than 7,000 open-heart and catheterization procedures, alongside providing nearly three million medical services.

The enhancements at the hospital align with SDRPY’s broader health initi
atives aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure across Yemen. These initiatives encompass the construction, equipping, and rehabilitation of hospitals and medical centers, as well as the training of medical staff. SDRPY has successfully delivered 265 projects across eight sectors, including education, health, water, energy, transport, agriculture and fisheries, government capacity building, and development programs.
