Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal Announces Opening of Arab Open University’s Tenth Campus in Morocco

Riyadh: Chairman of the Arab Open University Board of Trustees Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz announced the opening of the university's campus in the Kingdom of Morocco, making it the tenth campus in its educational network. The announcement came during the 45th meeting of the university's Board of Trustees, held via videoconference.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Abdulaziz expressed gratitude to King Mohammed VI of Morocco and the Moroccan government for their support in completing the campus's preparations to receive its first cohort of students at the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.

He said the opening of the tenth campus marks a new milestone in expanding access to open and quality higher education across the Arab world and reflects the university's vision of making quality university education accessible to all segments of Arab society, particularly those most in need. He also commended the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for its support in completing the project.

President of the Arab Open University Prof. Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zakari said the Moroccan campus will be open to all and offer affordable tuition fees. He expressed hope that it will become an educational hub serving learners across the African Sahel region.
