Prime Minister of Solomon Islands Receives Saudi Fund for Development CEO

Honiara: Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands Jeremiah Manele today received Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) CEO Sultan Al-Marshad and his accompanying delegation. The meeting focused on fostering development cooperation and leveraging the fund’s longstanding efforts to address global development challenges.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting marked an important step in SFD’s initiatives as it involved the signing of the fund’s first development agreement in the Solomon Islands. This agreement is aimed at supporting the renewable energy sector, highlighting the fund’s commitment to sustainable development efforts in the region.

For over 50 years, the Saudi Fund for Development has played a significant role in promoting international cooperation and tackling development challenges across the globe. The discussions between Prime Minister Manele and CEO Al-Marshad underscored the shared vision of both parties in enhancing the impact of such collaborations, particularly in the field of renewable energy.
