His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Mark, received Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League.
His Holiness praised the distinguished Bahraini-Egyptian relations which extended over decades.
He hailed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s role in consolidating the principles of peace, tolerance, love and peaceful coexistence between religions, stressing that Bahrain provides a unique model in upholding these values.
Ambassador Zainal affirmed the strength of the longstanding bilateral relations, highlighting the friendship between Bahrain and the Coptic Orthodox Church.
She commended the role of the church in promoting unity.
