Periwinkles adorn the parks, squares, and roads of Sabya Governorate, along with many other flowering trees, various seasonal flowers and roses, creating a colorful scenery.
Periwinkles may reach a height of 80 cm, have thick green oval leaves, and come in colors like pink, white and purple. They attract photography enthusiasts who take pictures with family and friends during hiking trips.
The Municipality of Jazan Region planted 70,000 periwinkles along the Sabya walkway last week, according to Mayor of Sabya Eng. Mohammed bin Mohsen Khurmi who stressed that the municipality is keen to increase green cover and plant trees and flowers to enhance and diversify vegetation cover.
