Pedestrian Assistance Teams Initiative Launched to Assist Worshipers at the Grand Mosque

Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has launched the pedestrian assistance teams initiative, a service aimed at enhancing the visitor experience by providing accurate guidance and direct assistance, with a particular focus on the elderly and people with disabilities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance and develop services to meet comprehensive objectives that ensure improving the experience of visitors within the Grand Mosque and its courtyards. To help visitors easily identify guides, clear directional signs and floor stickers with serial numbers have been placed at their meeting spots. This setup makes it easier to navigate locations and access nearby services, enhancing visitor support as part of the initiative’s goals.

Furthermore, the initiative aims to facilitate the movement of visitors, assist worshipers in reaching designated prayer areas and essential services, and offer personalized support to the elderly and people with disabilities. By streamlining access and providing real-time assistance, the initiative enhances the overall experience of worshipers, ensuring their comfort while performing rituals.
