Islamabad: Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them during a phone call today. They also discussed regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two sides reiterated their shared position on the Palestinian cause and expressed support for the joint statement issued by eight Arab and Islamic countries regarding the United Kingdom's decision to ban imports from illegal Israeli settlements and impose restrictions on services linked to them. The ministers also welcomed the joint statement issued by the United Kingdom and several European countries on the two-state solution. They stressed the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Dar and Fidan stressed the importance of continued consultation and close coordination on regional developments and issues, including through the quadrilateral regional group comprising Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Trkiye. They also reiterated their commitment to strengthening relations and coordination between their countries on issues of mutual interest.
