Mecca: The healthcare system continues to deliver comprehensive services to pilgrims during the 1446 AH Hajj season, with the total number of health services provided by Dhu al-Hijjah 6 exceeding 91,000. These efforts are part of a joint initiative across the entire healthcare network to offer high-quality, efficient medical care, aligned with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030. These programs aim to ensure that pilgrims can perform their rituals with ease and safety in a fully integrated, health-conscious environment that meets the highest global standards.

According to Saudi Press Agency, since the beginning of the season, health statistics show that 51,938 pilgrims have visited primary healthcare centers, 22,486 cases have been treated in emergency departments, and 1,069 patients have visited outpatient clinics. Also, 4,119 patients have been admitted to hospitals, including 1,973 cases that required intensive care. Medical teams have performed 16 open-heart surgeries and 145 cardiac catheterizations, and efficiently handled 44 cases of heat exhaustion.

The healthcare system continues to intensify its efforts to provide integrated medical services to pilgrims through high preparedness and advanced planning, contributing to the protection of their health and enabling them to perform their rituals in a safe and healthy environment.
