Over 60 Riders from Seven Nations Compete in Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival

Riyadh: Over 60 male and female camel riders from seven countries are competing in today's races at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival 2026 for a total prize pool of SAR940,000. The festival's organizing committee has structured the competition into five distinct heats: three 5-kilometer races for men and two 2-kilometer races for women.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event underscores the growing international appeal of camel racing, as demonstrated by the diverse roster of participants. Riders from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Bahrain, and Denmark are competing. This inclusion of international competitors alongside regional experts highlights the festival's role in preserving heritage while fostering global cultural exchange.
