Over 200,000 Daily Iftar Meals Distributed at the Grand Mosque

Makkah: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, in collaboration with charitable organizations, is distributing over 200,000 iftar meals daily at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this massive operation is managed by more than 3,000 staff members and 1,000 volunteers who oversee 3,200 daily iftar spreads, which extend a total length of 50 kilometers. The cleanup process after iftar is efficiently completed within five minutes, showcasing the organizational prowess of the teams involved.

These arrangements follow strict health and organizational standards to ensure the safety and comfort of worshippers at the designated iftar areas inside the mosque and its courtyards. The effort underscores the commitment to providing a seamless and safe experience for all attendees during the holy month.
