Over 1.2 Million Mango Trees Drive Local Market Supply During Harvest Season

Riyadh: More than 1.2 million mango trees across the Kingdom supply local markets with over 105,000 tons of mangoes annually. As part of its campaign to highlight the Kingdom's seasonal fruits and local produce during peak harvest seasons, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture stated that the mango production season begins in April and continues through August each year.

According to Saudi Press Agency, mango cultivation is widely distributed across several regions of the Kingdom, with the largest concentrations in Jazan, Makkah, Al-Baha, Tabuk, Aseer, Najran, and Madinah. The ministry noted that markets across Saudi Arabia are experiencing strong demand at the start of the harvest season, driven by the availability of high-quality locally grown mango varieties.
