Mecca: H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), welcomed the signing today of the Mecca Agreement on Joint Defense between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Trkiye. The Secretary-General expressed his strong appreciation and support for this important strategic step, which reflects the three countries' commitment to strengthening regional and international cooperation.

According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Secretary-General affirmed that this Agreement constitutes a fundamental pillar for supporting security and stability in the region and across the Muslim world, and embodies a shared resolve to address growing security challenges and consolidate the principles of solidarity and constructive partnership among Member States.

H.E. the Secretary-General commended the tireless efforts and wise leadership of the three countries, which culminated in the signing of this historic Agreement, expressing his hope that the Agreement will contribute to achieving peace and prosperity in the region in particular and for the international community as a whole.
