OIC Secretary-General Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Southern Regions

Jeddah: His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, condemned and denounced in the strongest terms the Houthis' targeting of southern regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with terrorist attacks. He emphasized that these actions are a desperate attempt to undermine the security and stability of the Kingdom. He noted that the continuation of these hostile acts constitutes a dangerous and unacceptable escalation that would undermine all regional and international efforts and initiatives aimed at consolidating the ceasefire and strengthening the pillars of stability in Yemen.

According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency stressed that these practices constitute a flagrant breach of peace efforts and a blatant violation of international laws and conventions that guarantee respect for the sovereignty of states and the integrity of their territories. These actions are seen as a direct obstacle that hinders the path toward the comprehensive and final political solution sought by the international community to end the Yemeni crisis.

In this regard, the Secretary-General reaffirmed the Organization's unwavering stance of full support and absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all the measures and actions it takes to protect its national security, safeguard the safety of its citizens and residents, and ensure regional stability.
