OIC Secretary General Commends Saudi Arabia’s Announcement of Donating USD 30 Million to Afghanistan Humanitarian Trust Fund

Jeddah-- Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's announcement of offering a donation of around USD 30 million to contribute to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Trust Fund.

He also expressed thanks and gratitude for Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, for this generous donation and for the fixed support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (the host country of the OIC) to the organization since its establishment.

He also praised the relentless efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in light of the close cooperation between the ministry and OIC secretariat general, and commended OIC member states’ donations for the fund, calling on other member states to contribute to the fund with the aim of helping the Afghani people overcome the current humanitarian circumstances.
