OIC Marks International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) joined the international community in observing the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, commemorated every year on November 25, which serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by women and girls subjected to violence and exploitation all over the world, and particularly in conflict zones.

According to Saudi Press Agency, OIC Secretary Hissein Brahim Taha highlighted the organization’s commitment to addressing violence against women and empowering them in OIC member states. He also reiterated the OIC’s condemnation of the ongoing violence against women in the world and urged concerted international efforts to put an end to it.
