OIC Human Rights Commission Director Meets Omani Consul General

Jeddah: Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission Executive Director Dr. Hadi Al-Yami met today at the commission's headquarters in Jeddah with Sultanate of Oman Consul General and Deputy Permanent Representative to the OIC in Jeddah Salem Albusaidi. During the meeting, the two officials discussed aspects of cooperation between Oman and the commission as well as ways to enhance coordination on human-rights issues of mutual interest.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing human rights challenges within the OIC member states. Dr. Al-Yami emphasized the need for joint initiatives that could lead to substantial improvements in the human rights landscape across the region. Discussions also highlighted ongoing projects and potential areas for future collaboration.

The engagement between the OIC Human Rights Commission and the Omani consul general reflects a shared commitment to uphold human rights standards and to work together on issues of common concern.
