NSHR President Hails UN Adoption of Saudi Arabia’s Resolution on Women’s Empowerment in Cybersecurity

Riyadh: President of the National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) Khalid Alfakhri has commended the unanimous adoption by the United Nations Human Rights Council of Saudi Arabia's resolution on empowering women in cybersecurity. The resolution is part of a global initiative launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Alfakhri stated that the adoption reflects international confidence in and appreciation for Saudi initiatives. These initiatives are seen as significant contributors to the development of international human rights standards and frameworks, supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He emphasized that the resolution marks an important step in advancing human rights by linking women's empowerment with digital transformation and cybersecurity. Alfakhri noted that this move highlights the international community's response to emerging human rights challenges, underscoring the importance of practical initiatives that strengthen international cooperation in addressing them.
