Oslo: The Norwegian Royal Palace announced today that the health of 89-year-old King Harald V has deteriorated and is now considered extremely serious.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the king was hospitalized last week while receiving cortisone treatment for hemolytic anemia before developing a bacterial infection in his bloodstream.
