Tokyo: The Japanese stock market concluded today with a mixed performance. The Nikkei index managed a slight gain, rising 0.06% to close at 39,810.88 points, largely buoyed by the robust performance of chip-related stocks on Wall Street overnight.

According to Saudi Press Agency, despite today’s uptick, the Nikkei saw a weekly decline of 0.85%, bringing an end to its impressive three-week winning streak. The broader TOPIX index remained relatively flat, closing at 2,827.95 points.
