Jeddah: The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of CMA CGM's Ocean Rise shipping service to Jeddah Islamic Port, aiming to bolster the Kingdom's maritime connectivity with international markets and support the growth of national exports and imports in collaboration with major global shipping lines.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ocean Rise service provides a vital link between Jeddah Islamic Port and key international hubs, including Kobe, Nagoya, and Yokohama in Japan; Xiamen, Yantian, and Nansha in China; Rotterdam in the Netherlands; Hamburg in Germany; and Southampton in England.

With a handling capacity of up to 3,001 TEUs, the service supports the National Transport and Logistics Strategy by solidifying the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.

Jeddah Islamic Port remains a cornerstone of regional trade, featuring 62 multi-purpose berths and a total handling capacity of 130 million tons. Its advanced infrastructure includes specialized container terminals, a dedicated logistics area for bonded and re-export goods, and a direct trucking system to facilitate efficient cargo movement.
