Riyadh: The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has supplied 84,000 wild pastoral seedlings from its nursery complex in Sakaka, Al-Jouf Region, for planting in the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative is part of a collaborative effort between the NCVC and the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority to enhance biodiversity and improve the overall quality of life in the region.
These nurseries serve as a vital source for producing seedlings, utilizing the latest techniques to ensure an optimal growing environment through automated control of key factors, including temperature, humidity, nutrition, and irrigation.
The NCVC established the nursery complex in Sakaka, which spans over 120,000 square meters and boasts an annual production capacity of up to 15 million seedlings.
