NCVC Completes Seed Dispersal to Restore Al-Jouf Rangelands

Tunis:The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has successfully completed the dispersal of native wild and pastoral seeds in the grazing areas of Sakaka, Dumat Al-Jandal, and Tabarjal in the Al-Jouf Region. This effort is part of the third season of a program aimed at rehabilitating natural rangelands through seed dispersal and rainwater harvesting.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the seed dispersal initiative is designed to restore degraded land, enhance productivity, and preserve native plant species. This project aligns with the objectives of the 2026 National Greening Season and supports the Saudi Green Initiative's ambitious targets of planting 10 billion trees and rehabilitating 40 million hectares throughout the Kingdom.
