Riyadh: The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) today announced the launch of the Cybersecurity Awareness Exhibition for 1446 AH Hajj pilgrims at the Hajj and Umrah terminals complex at King Abdulaziz International Airport, aiming to foster a strong cybersecurity culture and raise awareness among pilgrims through innovative and interactive means.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the exhibition is part of the cybersecurity fostering program for the 1446 AH Hajj season, implemented by the NCA in support of national efforts to mobilize all resources to provide the best services to pilgrims.
The NCA stated that the exhibition targets pilgrims arriving by air through the Hajj and Umrah terminal complex and features a range of awareness materials, publications, and multilingual guidelines designed to enhance cybersecurity awareness. It highlights key cybersecurity concepts, the role of cybersecurity in mitigating emerging risks, the importance of security updates, how to recognize phishing tactics, social engineering schemes, application security practices, and other topics that help build strong cybersecurity awareness among pilgrims.
The NCA is the entity responsible for cybersecurity in the Kingdom and serves as the national authority in this field. Its mission is to enhance cybersecurity to protect the state’s vital interests and national security, safeguard critical infrastructure and priority sectors, and ensure the security of government services and operations. The NCA is also responsible for raising awareness and developing policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, regulations, and guidelines related to cybersecurity, as well as disseminating them to relevant entities across the Kingdom.
