Mina, The National Water Company (NWC) said it pumped and distributed close to one billion liters of water through public networks to Makkah and the other holy sites as the Day Arafah approached.
The holy sites got 286 million liters, and more than 704 million liters were distributed in Makkah.
The water was distributed through public water networks round the clock, under the supervision of and with follow-up by engineers and observers from the operation work areas covering Makkah and the other holy sites.
The company said that on the Day of Arafah, it conducted more than 4,840 laboratory tests at fixed and mobile laboratories in Makkah and the other holy sites to make sure that the water provided to pilgrims is of good quality.
