National Security In Kirkuk Frees A Kidnapped Woman From Babylon And Arrests The Kidnappers

The Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced today Monday, the freeing of a kidnapped woman and the arrest of her kidnappers in Kirkuk Governorate.

The INSS' s media stated in a statement, "After receiving a judicial complaint about the kidnapping of a girl from Babylon Governorate and her luring to Kirkuk, a special working group was formed to follow up the circumstances of the case and all the available information."

It added, "Within a record time that did not exceed 6 hours, the location of the kidnappers was located in Kirkuk Governorate, and judicial approvals were obtained, after which a force from the INSS proceeded to raid the aforementioned place and free the girl."

It explained, "The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects who carried out the kidnapping, in addition to carrying out several kidnappings and extortion, after the victims bargained for sums of money in exchange for not publishing their private photos on social media."
