Osaka: The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and led by Secretary-General Eng. Majed Al-Fawiz, is participating in the opening of the Global Initiative for Safety, Health, and Well-being (GISHW) Conference, held in conjunction with Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, from July 16 to 19. The Saudi participation also includes the Ministry of Energy and representatives from the private sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the engagement comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to showcase its pioneering experiences in occupational safety, health, and workplace well-being. The council, alongside the Ministry of Energy and several national companies, is taking part in the accompanying exhibition, highlighting key national programs and initiatives, the latest technologies used to enhance work environments, and activities related to awareness, training, and reporting.
The council’s pavilion attracted significant attention from international delegations and conference attendees, who learned about its efforts to develop modern occupational policies and practices in line with leading global standards, in support of the Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health affirmed that its participation reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its international presence, exchanging expertise with global counterparts, and reinforcing its leadership in establishing safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces.
