Najran Municipality Intensifies Food Safety Inspections During Ramadan

Najran: Field inspection teams of Najran Region Municipality are carrying out their duties and field tours during the holy month of Ramadan, monitoring food establishments and matters related to public health as part of the municipality's ongoing efforts to ensure food safety and enhance public health for residents and visitors of the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspection tours cover about 6,370 commercial establishments across the city and governorates, through 10,000 inspection visits. Monitoring has also been intensified of street vendors and mobile food trailers that sell food on streets and in public squares to ensure that food is provided safely and in a manner that protects public health.

Field sanitation teams are deployed from the early morning hours across several neighborhoods and main roads. Their work includes street sweeping, waste removal, sidewalk washing, and cleaning waste containers, as well as intensifying efforts in high-density areas, particularly near central markets, mosques, and public parks.

These efforts are part of the municipality's operational plan for Ramadan, which focuses on enhancing readiness and strengthening field presence amid increased community activities. The plan also aims to provide a suitable working environment for field staff through organized shifts and safety measures, while maintaining on-site monitoring to ensure smooth operations and achieve the highest standards, supporting the sustainability of public cleanliness and improving the urban landscape.
