Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed Hamas’s response to US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

According to Saudi Press Agency, MWL Secretary-General and Organization of Muslim Scholars Chairman Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa expressed hope that the proposed plan will contribute to an immediate end to the war, halt displacement and annexation efforts, and alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.

He emphasized that this initiative could pave the way for a lasting, comprehensive, and just peace based on the two-state solution.
