He called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by ensuring respect for international humanitarian law, lifting all arbitrary restrictions imposed on humanitarian operations, enabling immediate and unhindered access for humanitarian aid to reach the people of Gaza, and guaranteeing the protecti on of civilians and humanitarian workers in the strip.
