Makkah: The National Center for Waste Management (MWAN) is continuing field and oversight operations in Makkah and the holy sites during Hajj season 1447 AH to monitor waste management operations and raise environmental compliance levels.
According to Saudi Press Agency, MWAN's inspection teams conducted 300 inspection rounds during the first three days of Dhu Al-Hijjah. The teams also carried out 715 inspection rounds in Makkah and the holy sites throughout Dhu Al-Qadah, monitoring facility compliance and promoting sound waste management practices.
Field teams continue operating under the season's operational plan to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements and address observations, supporting the readiness of operational sites.
