Islamabad: The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a mosque in the capital of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Islamabad.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued by MWL's general secretariat, MWL Secretary-General and Organization of Muslim Scholars Chairman Mohammed Al-Issa denounced this terrorist crime, stating that the perpetrators have abandoned all religious and humanitarian values, having shown no regard for the sanctity of human life nor the sanctity of places of worship.
He reaffirmed MWL's firm stance rejecting and condemning violence and terrorism in all its forms and under all pretexts, and he expressed full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in confronting all threats to its security, stability, and the safety of its people.
The secretary-general extended his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Pakistan, praying for mercy for the deceased and a swift recovery for the injured.
