Muslim World League Condemns Targeting of World Food Programme Convoy in Sudan

Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the targeting of a World Food Programme (WFP) aid convoy by the Rapid Support Forces in North Kordofan, Sudan. In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa denounced the act, describing it as a violation of religious values and international humanitarian laws and norms.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Issa reiterated MWL's stance and that of Muslim peoples worldwide, rejecting and condemning all attacks on civilians, relief organizations, and humanitarian personnel. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the provisions of the "Jeddah Declaration" and relevant international laws to protect civilians and ensure the security of humanitarian corridors in Sudan.
