Muslim World League Condemns Israel’s Rejection of Gaza Conflict Roadmap

Riyadh: The Muslim World League has expressed strong condemnation over Israel's declared rejection of the roadmap aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Gaza and establishing a Palestinian state.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Muslim World League criticized Israel's dismissal of the proposal, which is a significant component of US President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan supported by Security Council Resolution 2803. This roadmap was designed to guide the resolution of the conflict in Gaza and facilitate the establishment of a Palestinian state. The League's General Secretariat, led by Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, issued a statement denouncing the Israeli stance, which it views as a continuation of policies that violate international laws and hinder peace efforts.

Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the necessity for Israel to adhere to the obligations outlined in President Trump's plan and its roadmap. He called for the implementation of the plan's second phase and urged the prevention of any actions that might obstruct its progress. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of international support in compelling Israel to comply fully. The statement also appreciated the solidarity shown by the foreign ministers of several Arab and Islamic nations, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE. These countries have reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian people's legitimate rights, emphasizing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as part of a two-state solution, in line with international resolutions, as the sole path to achieving lasting peace in the region.
