Music Commission and Philharmonie de Paris Forge New Path in Musical Collaboration

Riyadh: In the presence of Minister of Culture and Music Commission Board Chairman Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Music Commission today signed an executive program for cooperation in the field of music with the Philharmonie de Paris, within the framework of the memorandum of understanding concluded between the two countries’ ministries of culture in 2021.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the executive program aims to consolidate bilateral cooperation in several areas, including artistic exchange and joint productions, education and talent development, capacity building for music educators and administrators, development of educational projects, management of music archives and historical materials, infrastructure development and institutional support, and the exchange of expertise in policy, governance, and strategic planning.

CEO of the Music Commission Paul Pacifico affirmed that music is a strong and sustainable enabler both culturally and commercially, and that through this cooperation, the commission looks forward to building a vibrant, inclusive, and effective music sector as an integral part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s evolving cultural landscape.
