Riyadh: The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has announced that business owners can now renew their commercial licenses electronically through the Balady platform. This initiative is part of the ministry's efforts to enhance digital municipal services and improve service quality for beneficiaries. It also aims to strengthen the business environment in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and digital transformation objectives.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Ministry spokesperson Mohammed Al-Rasasmeh emphasized that the commercial license renewal service allows business owners to complete all renewal procedures online. By accessing the Balady platform through the National Unified Access (Absher), users can select the desired service, complete the application, and pay the required fees, eliminating the necessity to visit municipal offices.

Al-Rasasmeh also noted that the Balady platform offers an electronic service for canceling commercial licenses. This feature is available for businesses that have ceased operations or for owners who decide not to continue their business activities.

The ministry is encouraging business owners to utilize the electronic services provided through the Balady platform. It also advises them to review relevant requirements and regulations to ensure the smooth continuation of their commercial activities and to capitalize on available municipal services.
