Madinah: Madinah Region is experiencing growth in the cultivation of ‘Moringa peregrina’ trees, which are recognized for their significant nutritional value, economic benefits, and ability to support the surrounding vegetation. The trees thrive in both mountainous and sandy terrains, demonstrating resilience to drought and high temperatures.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Moringa peregrina tree belongs to the moringa family and is known for its rapid growth, reaching heights of approximately 10 meters. It features a flexible stem, dark gray open branches, and smooth cylindrical branches. The tree has green leaves and fragrant white flowers that are rich in nutrients, attracting bees during the flowering seasons.

Moringa trees exhibit a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, influenced by the regions in which they are cultivated. The Moringa peregrina flowers from February to the end of March. The flowers are rich in fatty acids, from which a unique oil, highly valued for its nutritional benefits, is derived, offering numerous applications.
