Qassim: The Moltkiopsis ciliata plant, known locally as 'Alhalam', is one of the wild plants with a notable presence in the environment of Qassim Region, as it grows in sand dunes.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the plant is described as having a rough texture with a color that tends toward dusty gray or reddish tones, and it features rough red fruits. It may cause discomfort to camels when grazed due to the roughness of its parts.

The spread of the plant reflects the region's vegetation diversity and the importance of preserving the desert environment. This environment hosts many wild plants with unique characteristics, thereby supporting ecological balance and sustainability.
