Moderate to Heavy Rain Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia on Friday

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain is expected to fall in several regions across Saudi Arabia this Friday. The affected areas include Madinah, Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, and Eastern regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, light rain is also anticipated in the highlands of the western and southwestern regions of the Kingdom. Additionally, dust-stirring winds are forecasted to blow through parts of the Riyadh Region, potentially affecting visibility.

Winds over the Red Sea will vary, with southwesterly to northwesterly winds in the northern part reaching speeds of 15-60 km/h. In the central and southern parts, winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly at speeds of 20-45 km/h. The sea conditions will range from calm to choppy, with waves expected to reach from half a meter to over two meters.

In the Arabian Gulf, wind patterns will shift from northerly to northwesterly in the northern part, with speeds of 10-50 km/h, and from southeasterly to southwesterly in the southern part, with speeds of 10-25 km/h. Similar to the Red Sea, the sea conditions here will also range from calm to choppy, with waves reaching up to over two meters.
