Ministry of Islamic Affairs Organizes First National Quran Competition in Albania

Tirana: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attach© at the Kingdom's Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is set to launch the first national competition for memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran in Albania. This event is organized in collaboration with the Muslim Community of Albania and will take place in Tirana, continuing until January 28.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition will feature 120 contestants who will compete across six categories. Boys and girls will participate separately in three levels, which include the memorization of two, five, and ten parts (juz') of the Holy Quran. A specialized judging committee has been appointed to evaluate the participants' performances, ensuring they meet the approved proficiency standards.

The competition is scheduled to conclude on January 28 with an awards ceremony attended by several official and religious figures. This initiative is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to support Quranic programs abroad. It aims to inspire youth to memorize and reflect on the Holy Quran, promoting values of moderation and balance. This reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to serving Islam and Muslims globally.
