Ministry of Islamic Affairs Launches Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Ramadan Programs in The Gambia

The gambia: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attach© at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Senegal, has begun implementing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' programs for distributing high-quality dates and providing Iftar meals in The Gambia. The launch took place in the presence of the non-resident Saudi Ambassador to Senegal Saad Al-Nofaia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom has allocated 5 tons of high-quality dates to the Republic of Gambia, benefiting approximately 20,000 individuals, while the iftar program will reach some 3,000 fasting beneficiaries. This initiative is part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to support Muslim communities during the holy month of Ramadan.

Ambassador Al-Nofaia highlighted that these programs are sponsored and supported by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He noted that the initiatives aim to enhance the spirit of cooperation, embody Islamic brotherhood, support brotherly nations, and share in their celebrations. The ambassador also emphasized that bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of The Gambia continue to advance steadily toward further development and mutual prosperity.

He affirmed that the implementation of the two programs is carried out under the direct supervision and follow-up of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, within the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to serve Islam and Muslims worldwide.
