Ministry of Interior Imposes SAR100,000 Fine for Transporting Hajj Violators

Riyadh: The Ministry of Interior announced that a fine of up to SAR100,000 will be imposed on anyone who transports holders of visit visas with the intent of taking them to Makkah and the holy sites, starting from the first day of Dhu Al-Qi'dah until the end of the 14th of Dhu Al-Hijjah. The vehicle used for transporting visit visa holders of all types will also be confiscated.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry urged everyone to comply with the regulations governing this year's Hajj season and to cooperate with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims. It emphasized that violations will result in legal penalties and called for reporting offenders by dialing 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom.
