Riyadh: The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture is scheduled to launch the “Water Sustainability for a Green Future” forum tomorrow as part of the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum falls within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to address global water issues and related challenges through initiatives aimed at improving water resource management, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring sustainability. It will take place in the Green Zone during the COP16 activities from December 4-13.

The forum will feature several sessions on various topics to be opened with a seminar titled, “The Role of Water Resources in Achieving a Greener Future for Saudi Arabia.”

Agreements in the non-profit sector will be signed during the forum, which will also see international organizations showcasing leading policies and regulations in the water field.

The forum is a testimony of the Kingdom’s
commitment to improving the efficiency and reliability of water services and its dedication to achieving water resource sustainability and its aspirations for a greener, more sustainable future in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

It will showcase the latest technologies and innovative practices in the field, with participation from government, private, and non-profit sectors, as well as international organizations.
