Davos: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders of global industrial and mining companies to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors. The meetings took place during his participation in the Kingdom’s high-level delegation at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, hosted in the Swiss city of Davos from January 20 to 24.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the minister’s discussions centered on promising investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s mining sector. Key topics included the challenges of securing global supply chains for critical minerals, exploring smart manufacturing solutions, and transferring knowledge and innovation to the Kingdom’s food industry.
Alkhorayef engaged with chief executives from major industry players, including the London Metal Exchange, global metals leader Glencore, and food manufacturing company PepsiCo. Additionally, he met with a board member and senior executive focused on technology and strategy at Siemens, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and advancing its industrial capabilities.
