Minister of Communications Engages with UN Official on Digital Transformation

Riyadh: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha held a meeting with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua, joined by Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil. The discussions centered on comprehensive digital transformation and its pivotal role in accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals, alongside strategies to strengthen partnerships in digital government.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting also covered the importance of supporting digital capacity building in developing countries and the exchange of experiences and best practices. These efforts are key to fostering more inclusive and innovative digital governments.

The dialogue underscores the Kingdom's proactive stance in promoting international cooperation, utilizing emerging technologies to enhance the efficiency of government services, and empowering societies to leverage the opportunities presented by the digital age.
